rare quality soul with a touch of latin and r&b

BIDDS, QUALITY & RARITY
Bidds all-nighter May 8th. Loads of familiar faces and welcoming arms, it was just superb. The venue itself has a large wooden dance floor, a very late bar and ample parking facilities, just what you need for a successful all-nighter.
The music policy is basically rare quality soul with a hint of R&B and some really nice Latin movers, many of which would be on everyone’s wants list. All the DJ’s played superb sets, Roger Banks, Mace, Andy Dyson and Mick H really played sets that were of a great liking to my personal tastes. Johnny Beggs played some of the finest Latin and soul tracks I’ve heard in a long while and Des just keeps on discovering.
A very healthy crowd were in attendance and a very busy dance floor was maintained throughout the night courtesy of the quality line up of DJ's. If you are looking for an all-nighter without the politics and where you can hear top quality tunes then Bidds is for you.
Don't just take my word for it, put the next date in your diary, on the fridge or on your calendar and be there -
SATURDAY 16th OCTOBER
BIDDS - WHERE THE MUSIC COMES FIRST !!!!!
THE PUNTERS OPINION FROM SATURDAY 8TH MAY
DJ's on the night were as follows - Andy Dyson, Mick H, Dave Rivers, Des Parker, Roger Banks, Johnny Beggs, Ted Couldstone, Ezzie Brown, Mace
Great venue, great music, great atmosphere, just how it should be - no politics just grea music!
The punters are the “who’s who” of the scene yet there is no “Royalty” present, no corners, groups or cliques of old school, new school, or bold school, just dancers who want to dance.
Mr. Dyson played an absolutely phenomonal set!
The real, absolute "STARS" of the night were the people paying to come through the door!!!
Des's spot was pretty sensational...proper northern soul...the tunes were absolute belters!!
This is the second new all-nighter I've tried recently and like the other it was nothing less than brilliant.
We will definitely be going back to Bidds! What an All-Nighter!!!! |
